• Founded at UNC, Alpha Pi Omega — the country's oldest Indigenous sorority — turns 28

  The country’s oldest Indigenous sorority — Alpha Pi Omega (APiO) — founded its first chapter, UNC's Alpha chapter, in 1994, and now represents more than 130 tribes across the years and has 24 chapters chartered nationwide.
• Latine Graduate and Professional Student Association (LGPSA)
  The Latine Graduate and Professional Student Association (LGPSA) seeks to foster a sense of community and belonging for students who identify as, or support the culture of, Latin American and Hispanic people at UNC-Chapel Hill.
• Historically Black at UNC
  The student media group with a diverse catalogue of content was established three years ago by alumna Krystal Lacayo. HBUNC started out by producing weekly news segments to inform Black students and any students interested in learning about campus opportunities for people of color. It has since expanded to larger media projects such as the Black UNC yearbook and their rendition of Love Island, a popular dating reality TV show.
